I can't access my new subscription for MS365. It wants a passkey which I don't have

I'm stuck in an endless loop. I just opened a 365 month of free trial. When I open Word, it wants a passkey, which i don't have. The guidance tells me to open word or excel to sign in but when I do, it wants the passkey before it will open the app.

    Hi! Sorry you’re running into this. Could you please share a screenshot of the passkey prompt you’re seeing (make sure any personal details are blurred)? Also, is this device managed by an organization (work/school) or is it for personal use? And when you sign in to Windows, do you normally use a PIN (Windows Hello), biometrics, or a password?
