How do I get support for Office 365 business? I have an employee who does not receive the invite. When I send the login and password to her, she still gets an error when trying to open a Word file saying that she is not allowed to edit files on a Mac.

I contacted support via the website chat six weeks ago. The rep that has been assigned to my case absolutely refuses to tell me when he is going to call, thus he has only called when I am unavailable or he doesn't call at all. I used to work in a number of different tech support organizations, taking six weeks to get in touch with someone would not have been acceptable at any of them.

I just need help getting the licensed I paid for to work. It should not be this hard.

I'm using the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and I assigned the employee a 365 for Enterprise license. The help and support link on the page connects to the chat that assigned the rep to me. I called the phone number on the second link, but it just asks if there is someone else at my company who can help me and then refers me back to the chat.

I was able to manually send the login and and password to the employee. She can login, but is told she can't edit mac files.

Thanks for the follow-up. Has the user successfully installed Office on her Mac?

Error messages which state that editing isn't possible would usually indicate some type of license issue.

Which specific business product do you have?

For a business subscription, you add users and assign licenses in the admin center at https://admin.microsoft.com , from where you can also access business support.

In addition, there is also phone support for business; see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/customer-service-phone-numbers-c0389ade-5640-e588-8b0e-28de8afeb3f2 .

To get support for Office 365 business, you can follow these steps:

    1. Access the Admin Center: Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center at https://admin.cloud.microsoft. If you encounter a message indicating you don't have permission, ensure you are logged in as an admin.
    2. Help & Support: On the bottom right side of the page, select Help & support. This will direct you to the Support Assistant page.
    3. Submit Your Query: Type your message or question into the text box. If the results do not resolve your issue, select the Contact Support icon to choose your contact method (phone or email).
    4. Provide Details: When contacting support, be prepared to provide details about the issue, including any error messages and the specific problems your employee is facing with accessing Word files on a Mac.
    5. Follow Up: If you have an ongoing case, ensure to follow up with the assigned representative for updates on your support request.

If you are experiencing delays in response, you may also consider creating a new support request to expedite assistance.
