When installing Word doc and office 365 I accidentally clicked "Allow this organization to manage my device" and at first I did not think it mattered but it is forcing me to change my password every month, and I cannot change things from the settings because I don't have access even though the school account is not on my setting profile. So I would like to un-do this step where my school has full access to my pc remotely. Moderator's note: moved from Microsoft 365 and Office | Access | For education | Windows

    Dear @M.J,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum. I’m happy to assist.

When you selected “Allow this organization to manage my device”, your device was enrolled in your school’s device management policies (commonly Microsoft Intune / Mobile Device Management). As a result, certain security rules (such as mandatory password changes) are enforced by the organization, even if the school account is no longer visible under your regular user profile.

Could you please confirm whether you can go to Settings > Accounts > Access work or school?

If so, select the dropdown next to your school account and choose Disconnect.

Next, please clear any saved credentials related to your school account by going to Credential Manager > Windows Credentials, and remove all entries associated with your school account.

After that, reinstall Microsoft Office, restart your device, and then try signing in again. During the sign‑in process, please make sure not to select the option “Allow this organization to manage my device.”

Since I do not have access to your device environment, there may be cases where my recommended solutions do not fully resolve the issue or other problems appear. If that happens, please update me right away with any new details or results in the Comment. I will do my best to support you and help find a solution as quickly as possible.
