My Home & Student license is missing.

I have a one-time purchase Microsoft Office Home & Student product key that was previously activated on this Lenovo Windows 11 laptop.

Office was replaced by Microsoft 365, which I removed. I now have no Office apps installed, and my Home & Student license is missing.

I need my Home & Student license re-bound to my Micrisoft account and the correct installer, not Microsoft 365.

Hi! No forum member will have access to your account data or information.

But you can check if your license is linked to your account. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/account > Sign in > Click on Subscriptions > Expand Office > Click on Install apps... > Choose the version for your operating system.

    • You must uninstall the Office that is installed on your computer and install the downloaded version. Then, sign in with your Office account. Double-check that Microsoft 365 is not installed.
    1. Open Windows Settings (Press WINDOWS + I keys) > Select "Apps" > "Installed Apps".
    2. Search for the application you want to uninstall > Click 3 Points > Uninstall > Wait for the program to be uninstalled > Restart your computer.

To recover your Microsoft Office Home & Student license and install the correct version, follow these steps:

    1. Uninstall Microsoft 365: Since you mentioned that Microsoft 365 was installed and removed, ensure that it is completely uninstalled. You can do this by going to Settings > Apps > Installed apps and removing any instances of Microsoft 365 or Office.
    2. Sign in to your Microsoft account: Go to the Microsoft account services page at https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the Microsoft account that was used to purchase or activate your Office Home & Student product.
    3. Check for your license: Look for Office Home & Student under the Services & subscriptions section. If it is not visible, you may have redeemed the product key under a different Microsoft account, so check any other accounts you may have.
    4. Download the installer: If you see Office Home & Student listed, click on Install next to it to download the correct installer for your one-time purchase version.
    5. Run the setup file: Once downloaded, open the setup file (usually named Setup.exe) and follow the prompts to install Office Home & Student.
    6. Activate Office: After installation, open any Office app (like Word or Excel) and sign in with the same Microsoft account to activate your product. You should see a message confirming that Office Home & Student is activated.

If you encounter any issues during this process, ensure that you are using the correct Microsoft account and that your device is running Windows 11 or later.
