and place it on a site like Nextdoor or Reddit?

I would like to be able to tag a picture and drag it across the screen. That action is ignored by Windows 11. Currently necessary to tag that pic on a file under Windows 11 and then drag it across the screen.

Do you see this when dragging the file to taskbar to open the other application and drop on the window? If yes, this is possible, but when the windows are side by side it doesn't happen

Denied with Windows 11 to drag a pic is a loss of information. Perhaps offer reddit to fix the issue on that site. I get that problem with like Facebook etc.

Hi, I'm Rodrigo and I will help you.
I just tested it, and it is possible to drag and drop images from a New Outlook email message to a new post on Reddit.
But drag an image to comments on Reddit is not possible, and this is not a Windows issue, but how the website handles drag and drop files.

Is that your issue? If not, please give detailed information about the operation you are trying to do.

Copying an image from an email and dragging it directly to a site like Nextdoor or Reddit may not be straightforward due to how Windows 11 handles drag-and-drop operations. Windows 11 supports drag-and-drop functionality, but it often requires specific steps to enable it, especially when transferring images from one application to another.

In the context of drag-and-drop, the source application (like Outlook) needs to provide the data in a format that the target application (like a web browser) can accept. If the drag operation is not recognized, it could be due to the source application not supporting direct drag-and-drop for images or the target application not being set up to accept images in that manner.

To drag an image from Outlook, you generally need to first save the image to a file on your system and then drag that file to the desired location. This extra step may seem cumbersome, but it ensures that the image is in a compatible format for the target application to process.

For a smoother experience, consider using the drag-and-drop features provided by the applications involved, ensuring that both support the necessary operations. Additionally, enabling dragging on elements in your application can facilitate this process, as described in the drag-and-drop documentation for Windows applications.
