Hi,

I just tried to set up a Foundry to test some Text to Speech functionality.

I ended up in a lot of endless redirects but eventually hit this error:

I tried the chat support, they directed me to some support phone numbers, I tried that twice but the first time I got directed back to the support page (where I found the chat tool) and the second time to a page that gives the same error (aka.ms/azurecase).

Can anyone tell me how I can get some support for this and how I can get my account reactivated?

The error AADSTS5000225: This tenant has been blocked due to inactivity means that the Azure Active Directory tenant associated with your account was automatically disabled by Microsoft because it was not used for a long period of time. This does not mean your Microsoft account is banned; only the specific tenant has been blocked due to inactivity.

Because the tenant is blocked, authentication fails and you may experience endless redirects. This can also prevent Azure support pages from loading correctly, which explains why chat and phone support links are redirecting or showing the same error.

How to resolve this:

Option 1 (Recommended and fastest for Microsoft Learn / MSA labs): Create a new Azure tenant (directory) and use it for Azure Foundry and Text-to-Speech testing. This usually resolves the issue immediately. Create a new tenant here: https://portal.azure.com/#create/Microsoft.AzureActiveDirectory

Option 2 (Reactivate the old tenant via support): Sign in to the Azure portal and create a support request: https://portal.azure.com/#view/Microsoft_Azure_Support/HelpAndSupportBlade Select the issue type as Tenant / Subscription and mention the error code AADSTS5000225 (Tenant blocked due to inactivity). Please note that support for free accounts may take time to respond.

Hello Daniel Z,

This issue will be resolved by signing in using the tenant-specific Azure portal URL and the tenant ID I have provided over the private messages tab:

https://portal.azure.com/<tenant-ID>

Once you accessed the portal through the tenant-scoped URL, the tenant became active again and you will be able to manage resources without further issues.

And the tenant will be restored successfully.
