I have added my account in the Authenticator, and in order to create a passkey it asks me to login and then enter a code from the authenticator. But it is not setup yet, how can it ask for a code?
I cannot login in the azure account I just made.
I am trying to access the account in the web, I get into the myaccount.microsoft.com with my username and password and then if I click anything in the control panel it asks me for a the code again.
This whole process is a bad experience. Never had this problems with google authenticator.
Even this form that I add this question asks me to select a tag and it doesn't have anything about the authenticator.
I would appreciate it if someone can share some light into this.

It seems you are encountering issues with the Microsoft Authenticator app during the setup process for creating a passkey. When you add your account to the Authenticator app, it typically requires you to complete a multi-factor authentication (MFA) process, which includes entering a code generated by the app. However, since you mentioned that the Authenticator is not set up yet, this can create a loop where you cannot proceed.

Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:

    1. Alternative Sign-In Method: If you have an alternative method to sign in (like a recovery email or phone number), try using that to access your account.
    2. Reset MFA Settings: If you are part of an organization, contact your administrator to reset your MFA settings. They can do this through the Microsoft Entra Admin Center, which will allow you to set up the Authenticator app again using a QR code.
    3. Contact Support: If you are the only administrator or cannot reach an admin, you may need to contact Microsoft support for assistance in resetting your access.
    4. Check for Bugs: Occasionally, there may be bugs affecting the Authenticator app. Ensure that your app is updated to the latest version and check for any known issues that might be affecting the service.

If these steps do not help, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance with your account access issues.
