Microsoft Entra Id ( Entra External Id Tenant ) customization under password entry page to disable the back arrow that allows to go back to re-enter the user name
Entra Id Login.jpg Reaching out to you with couple of queries related to custom branding on Microsoft Entra Id with a hope that you would be able to guide us in concluding on this.
It’s regarding feasibility of removing the back arrow that user can use under password entry Entra Id login/ sign-in page, to go back to the previous page to change the username in a MS Entra Id Tenant.
In a MS Entra Id tenant (Whether it's a B2B Tenant or Entra External Id Tenant), once username gets populated (pre-populated) with leveraging login_hint via SAML Redirect SSO from a Service Provider (an in-house application), where tenant specific custom branding is configured & gets displayed & here Entra Id is acting as a SAML IdP, there exists a back arrow that user can use to go back to the previous page to change the username. We would like to get a confirmation that, whether that back arrow can be removed with any setup? ( In below attached screenshot, I have circled/ highlighted the back arrow under the Password entry sign-in page)
We would need to keep the tenant branding intact throughout the login experience.
But as the back arrow (<-) under the Password Entry page is allowing the user to go back to the previous page, where no username is entered, it's behaving/ defaulting to the generic Microsoft branding login page. (Considering the fact that, once user enters the username, which is associated with the login domain & represents the tenant, following which it gets redirected to the tenant specific login page where the custom branding has taken effect, not before that)
Our idea is, if it's possible to disable that back arrow that's available beside already entered/ pre-populated username in the Entra Id tenant specific login/ sign in page under Password Entry section, user won't have that option to go back to the previous page to change the username. Our understanding is, considering it's tenant specific screen, there might be a feasibility to achieve this. Please assist us with a confirmation on whether it's possible to achieve this & what could be the possible set of steps, if any.
Thank you.
