Cannot logon to Azure personal account due to MFA

Hello,

I am unable to sign in to the Azure portal using my personal Microsoft account. Azure is asking for a code, but my MFA code is not accepted. I think this is an Azure (or Entra?) specific MFA that was made mandatory last year.

I CAN access my non-azure accounts (e.g. 365), it's only Azure that is asking for an extra MFA code.

I do not see the “Use another verification option” prompt

SMS and email verification options are not appearing

I cannot reach the page to reset MFA (aka.ms/mfasetup) because it only accepts work/school accounts

I tried to "Enable flagging" when the MFA code was rejected but "Something went wrong"

Could you reset my Azure MFA for this account so I can sign in to Azure again.

Thank you.

    Hello Ben Arnold

The issue pertains to a tenant lockout, where no other global admin in the tenant has the necessary permissions to login and make changes in your tenant.

To resolve this, we have engaged our Data Protection team through a support ticket. They will reach out to you via email or phone to help restore access to the tenant and assist in resolving the issue.
