In MS Teams, how to display a MS Planner component in MS Loop?

Hi! I'm working on a way for my team to manage projects and tasks. We want to do this by using MS Loop integrated in Teams. However, we want to use the MS Planner task board instead of the MS Loop integrated table. Loop does offer a way to insert a Planner component into the page, and when using Loop in the browser, this looks exactly the way we want:
Loop test browser

However, when opening this exact Loop page through Teams, it looks like this instead:
Loop test Teams

My question is: is there any way to get it to look the way it does in the browser? I've already tried different screen sizes and looked through settings, but I have not been able to find anything.

Kind regards!

    Dear @Casper van Drunen,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A.

Thank you for the detailed description and screenshots, I’ve tested this behavior as well and can confirm what you’re seeing.

Based on my testing, this is expected product behavior rather than a configuration or tenant-specific issue. When a Loop page is opened in a web browser, the Microsoft Planner component is rendered with the full interactive Planner board (Kanban) experience. However, when the same Loop page is opened inside Microsoft Teams, the Planner component is currently rendered only as a Planner link / card preview, not as the full board view.

This difference is due to a current limitation in how Microsoft Teams hosts and renders Loop components. The embedded Teams environment does not yet support displaying the full Planner board UI inside Loop pages. Changing screen size, resolution, or user settings does not affect this behavior, and there is currently no setting or workaround to force Teams to display the Planner board the same way it appears in the browser.

Recommended options based on current capabilities:

Open the Loop page in a web browser when you need to work with the full Planner board view.

Or manage tasks directly using Planner or Tasks by Planner and To Do within Microsoft Teams for a native board experience.

Since this is a product limitation rather than a misconfiguration, the best way to influence future improvements is to share feedback directly with Microsoft’s product teams. You can do this by Submitting feedback in Microsoft Teams via Settings > Help > Give feedback and clearly describing that you want Planner components in Loop pages to render as full boards inside Teams.
