Hi Doug Pealing,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A.
In new Outlook for Windows, some calendar features (including Shared calendars / Publish a calendar) may not appear in the desktop Settings. This is most commonly seen when Outlook detects the calendar isn’t backed by a Microsoft‑hosted mailbox (for example, the account/calendar is coming in as a third‑party or non‑Microsoft calendars), so publishing options stay hidden in the app.
Best way to publish your calendar
Use Outlook on the web, where publishing is surfaced when it’s supported:
- Sign in to Outlook on the web (Outlook.com) with the same account
- Open Calendar > select the Settings (gear)
- Go to Calendar > Shared calendars > Publish a calendar
- Choose the calendar + permission level, then copy the HTML and/or ICS link
For reference: Share your calendar in Outlook on the web
If “Publish a calendar” is missing on the web too
That usually means the mailbox you’re using is not a native Outlook.com/Hotmail (Microsoft-hosted) calendar. For example, you’re signed in with a Gmail/Yahoo/custom domain address as a Microsoft login, or the calendar is coming from a third-party source. In that case, publishing may not be available for that calendar.
Please let me know if this proves useful to you, or if you would like further assistance.
I'm looking forward to your reply.
