Why is Microsoft scared to speak to its customers?

So I have been locked out of my account for roughly two weeks now. This is an account I have had for over 15 years. Over those years I have moved, changed phone numbers and yes, a few credit cards have changed.

One morning I begin getting emails from Microsoft saying my account is blocked because of suspicious activity in Brazil. Cool, thanks for looking out. Here comes the fun part...

I have been answering this stupid ass questionnaire, twice a day for the last 2 weeks and then frantically looking for someone to call to see if there is another way to resolve this issue.

It appears there is no other solution...either have a photographic memory or at any time Microsoft can block you from your account. What kind of communistic rule is this?

So for two weeks my business is unable to receive emails - if there is lost revenue, can I sue?

My only real question is...why is everyone at this company scared to speak to its customers? Why is it when you call a number it is automated with no real way of speaking with someone?

Please do not answer me with another, I know this is frustrating - no you obviously don't know, because if you did, you would not have such an asinine policy in place for recovery!
