    Hi Joyce,

I recommended to switch filtering to Exclusive and add trusted senders to your Safe Senders list, as this helps ensure legitimate mail gets through while reducing unwanted messages.

another effective method from Reddit uses a custom rule to capture spam that hides the sender’s address. By creating a rule that moves all emails without an “@” in the sender field to a separate folder, users have successfully filtered out most of the automated junk that normal blocking can’t catch.

To reduce the excessive amount of emails landing in your junk folder, consider the following strategies:

    1. Adjust Junk Email Filter Settings: In Outlook, you can configure the Junk Email Filter settings. It's recommended to set it to No automatic filtering to prevent conflicts with Microsoft 365's spam filtering. This way, Outlook will still use your safelist (Safe Senders, Safe Recipients, and Blocked Senders) to manage junk emails without automatically filtering them.
    2. Review Your Safelist: Regularly check and update your Safe Senders and Blocked Senders lists. If you have many entries, it may be worth cleaning them up to ensure that only necessary addresses are included.
    3. Use Microsoft 365's Spam Filtering: Microsoft 365 employs advanced spam filtering technologies that learn from user feedback. Make sure you report spam and phishing attempts to help improve the filtering process.
    4. Consider Safelist Aggregation: If you are using Exchange Server, enabling safelist aggregation can help reduce false positives by delivering messages from senders identified as safe without additional spam processing.
    5. Check for Phishing and Spam: Be vigilant about the types of emails you receive. If you notice patterns in the junk emails (e.g., similar senders or subjects), consider blocking those senders directly.

By implementing these strategies, you can help manage and reduce the amount of junk email you receive.
