trying to sign on my Outlook ap on my phone

Could you please help me? I am trying to sign on my Outlook ap on my iphone 17. I changed the password and it keeps giving me a number to sign in on Authenticator. Authenticator wants me to sign on and it gives me notice to sign on to Outlook and it gives me a 5 character alpha numeric code but that wont fit in a number only on Authenticator or I don't know where it goes.

Please help

Hi! Since you changed your password, remove your account from the app > Uninstall it > Reinstall it > Log in with your account.

• Use another login method to access your account, such as a code sent via email or phone.
