My personal microsoft account was linked as a secondary account to a business profile and my card was charged fraudulently

I woke up yesterday morning to my credit card flagging fraud and multiple receipts from Microsoft of my card being charged including an email stating "your 365 business account has been set up, the primary email on file is "xx" which is an email and person I do not know. (IDK if providing the email here is bad but can share). I confirmed with Microsoft that these were legitimate emails from their email accounts and not spoofed.

I had to cancel my card and called into microsoft to see how my account was a)linked and b) charged. They claim I must have given my account information out. I have passkey and 2 factor auth set up with no unusual activity. I have asked microsoft to remove my account from the business account and they say they can't. It must be manually removed by the business owner. This is a fraudulent account. I don't know the business owner. I can't delink my account because I only have a personal 365 subscription. I have been on the phone for over 5 hours over 3 separate calls and keep getting the work around from Microsoft. I have tried to request a call back and have this error message now. Has anyone experienced this before?

    Dear @Katie G

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

As a moderator, I don't have the tools to investigate your specific account directly because this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators and contributors, including external Microsoft employees, cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Our role is limited to providing technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas. However, I will try my best to guide you as clearly as possible.

While I do not have the tools to check this directly, I can ask other teams to look into the details of the tenant you are currently using to see what is happening, and to verify if perhaps the wrong subscription was purchased. To help me gather this information, please send me the following details:

Screenshots of the emails Microsoft sent to you

    Images of the invoice

Any other specific information or documents you have received

Please send these to me via private message. Since this is a public forum, that type of information should not be shared openly.
