    Hi,

If you're trying to exit S mode and can't, see this link:

If that fails, and you're using an Intune-linked account, you need to follow the Q&A procedure. If it's a home account, try removing it in offline mode.

Go to Settings > System > Recovery.

Under Advanced startup, click Restart now.

Navigate to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Command Prompt.

    Type regedit and press Enter.

Select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, then click File > Load Hive.

Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\config, select the SYSTEM file, and click Open.

    Launch the offline hive.

    Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\offline\ControlSet001\Control\CI\Policy.

Double-click on SKUPolicyRequired and change the value from 1 to 0.

Select the offline hive, click File > Download Hive, close Regedit/Command Prompt, and restart your PC.

To remove S Mode from your PC, you can use Microsoft Intune to create a policy that switches out of S Mode. Here are the steps you can follow:

    1. Sign in to the Microsoft Intune admin center.
    2. Select Devices > Manage devices > Configuration > Create > New policy.
    3. Enter the following properties:
      • Platform: Select Windows 10 and later.
      • Profile type: Select Templates > Edition upgrade and mode switch.
    4. Create the profile and enter a descriptive name and optional description.
    5. In Configuration settings, set the option to allow users to switch out of S Mode.
    6. Assign the profile to the users or user group that will receive it.
    7. Review and create the profile.

Once the policy is created and assigned, the next time the device checks in with Intune, it will switch out of S Mode. Note that once you switch out of S Mode, you cannot revert back to it.

If you're not using Intune, you can also switch out of S Mode directly through Windows settings by going to Settings > Update & Security > Activation, and then selecting Go to the Store under the Switch to Windows 10 Home section. Follow the prompts to complete the process.
