Microsoft 365 Won't Accept my Visa Card

I'm trying to resubscribe to Microsoft 365, but it's not accepting my visa. I tried another card too and it also won't accept it. It keeps saying "ensure card details are correct or try a new card". The card details are correct and I know it's not an issue with my bank or cards. How do I continue?

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

Since you mentioned you are certain that the card details are correct, please try clearing your browser cache and cookies, logging out and logging in again, and using different devices, then try adding your payment card again.

Also, ensure that your payment methods are up to date and have no restrictions imposed by your bank.

If the issue persists, you will need to contact Microsoft Billing Support for further assistance, as they have the tools and resources to properly investigate this case:

    https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact?SourceApp=smc2&ContactUsExperienceEntryPointAssetId=S.HP.SmcContactUsLanding

Type "Billing issue" > click "Get Help" > Scroll down to Sign in to Contact Support > Microsoft 365 and Office > Billing and Payment Updates > Confirm > Chat with a support agent in your web browser

Thank you for your understanding! Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

If Microsoft 365 is not accepting your Visa card, here are some troubleshooting steps you can take:

    1. Verify Card Details: Double-check that the card details you entered—card number, expiration date, name on the card, and billing address—match exactly what is on your card and your bank statement.
    2. Check Country/Region: Ensure that the payment method is issued from the same country/region as your Microsoft account. If you are using a card from a different country, it may not be accepted.
    3. Contact Your Bank: Sometimes, banks have security measures that can block transactions. Contact your bank or card issuer to confirm that there are no issues with your card.
    4. Use a Different Card: If the issue persists, try using a different credit or debit card. Ensure that the new card is also valid for international transactions if applicable.
    5. Contact Support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, you may need to reach out to Microsoft support for further assistance. They can provide more specific guidance based on your account and payment method.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue with your Visa card not being accepted for your Microsoft 365 subscription.
