    Hi Muhammad Jawad Razzaq,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum. I understand how inconvenient it can be to encounter an error while installing OneDrive, and I’m happy to help.

In most cases, error 0x80070070 occurs when Windows doesn’t have enough free space on the system drive to complete the installation. Even if some space appears to be available, Windows still needs additional room for temporary files during the setup process.

I can see that Q&A Assist has already suggested a few initial steps, which is a good starting point. Below are some added details and a few additional checks that often help resolve this issue:

Step 1: Check available disk space

-Open File Explorer and click This PC.

-Check how much free space is available on Local Disk (C:). It is recommended to have at least 10–20 GB of free space for installations.

    Step 2: Run Disk Cleanup

-Press Windows + R, type cleanmgr, and press Enter.

-Select Local Disk (C:) and click OK.

-Check items such as Temporary files, Windows Update Cleanup, and Recycle Bin.

-Click OK, then Delete Files to confirm.

Step 3: Empty the Recycle Bin

-Right‑click the Recycle Bin on your desktop.

    -Select Empty Recycle Bin.

Files in the Recycle Bin still use disk space until permanently deleted.

    Step 4: Remove unused applications

-Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps.

    -Sort the list by Size.

-Uninstall any apps you no longer need.

After completing these steps, please restart your computer, as this helps clear temporary system locks that may block installations. If possible, you can also temporarily disable any third‑party antivirus or disk‑monitoring tools during the installation. Once done, download the latest OneDrive installer directly from Microsoft to ensure you’re using the most recent version.

If the issue continues even after freeing up space, please let me know:

    • How much free space is currently available on your C: drive
    • Which version of Windows you are using (for example, Windows 11 Home)

I’ll be happy to assist you further. Thank you for your patience.

The error code 0x80070070 typically indicates that there is insufficient disk space on your device to complete the installation of OneDrive. To resolve this issue, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check Disk Space: Ensure that your operating system disk (usually Local disk (C:)) has enough free space. You can do this by right-clicking on the disk in File Explorer and selecting Properties.
    2. Free Up Space: If you find that your disk is low on space, consider the following methods to free up space:
      • Uninstall any unused applications.
      • Delete or archive files that you no longer need.
      • Move files to another disk or to an external storage device.
    3. Consider External Storage: If you cannot free up enough space, you might want to use an external drive during the installation process.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, you may want to look into further troubleshooting or contact Microsoft Support for assistance.
