Personal Azure MFA Reset

I am trying to log into my personal Azure tenant, which I have access to as a Student (which probably now requires re-verification).

After the initial password authentication, I am asked for a code from Authenticator.

When I recently migrated Authenticator from an iPhone 16 to an iPhone 17, the Azure Account status shows "Action Required, scan a QR code to finish recovering this account".

Unfortunately, I neglected to resolve this whilst I still had my old iPhone and now I am locked out of Azure due to not being able to approve the 2FA Prompt/Provide a 6 Digit MFA code.

Similar to other users experiences, as this is a personal account, I cannot login as an admin to reset my own account.

Is someone able to assist me in resetting the 2FA for my tenant please?

Thank you!

    Hello SC,

The issue pertains to a tenant lockout, where no other global admin in the tenant has the necessary permissions to login and make changes in your tenant.

To resolve this, we have engaged our Data Protection team through a support ticket. They will reach out to you via email or phone to help restore access to the tenant and assist in resolving the issue.
