I been having this issue for the longest on Roblox the game will randomly take screen shots when I press 1 or I'll have to double tap the shift key just to use the lock on feature. What's even more annoying is that I can't use the chat feature every time I try to type a sentence it will type fine for a few seconds then delete what I was typing completely. Please help I'm on the verge of smashing my keyboard cause of how annoying it is.

    Hi Julian,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

I’m sorry to hear about your experience. Random screenshots, broken Shift‑Lock, and chat text getting wiped out can completely ruin gameplay. The Q&A Assist has given some good suggestions, so I’ll only add other options you can look into if the issue persists:

1 - Disable Xbox Game Bar

    • Open Settings > Gaming > (Xbox) Game Bar > turn OFF
    • Still in Settings > System > System components:
      • Click the three-dot next to Game Bar
      • Advanced options > click Terminate
      • Let this … run in background: Never

2 - Toggle Game Bar shortcuts

    • Press Win + G to open Game Bar > click the gear icon
    • Scroll down and choose More settings > Shortcut:
      • Check the action list and change if needed.
      • You can click Reset to get all back to default.
      • Turn OFF Game Bar open actions (optional)

    3 - Print Screen key

    • Open Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard
    • Turn OFF Use the print Screen key to open screen capture

If all Windows steps above are done and the issue only happens inside Roblox, your best next step would be to contact their Support, as that would be an in‑game bug or key-bind issue specific to Roblox.

It sounds like you are experiencing issues with keyboard shortcuts and possibly some interference from accessibility features while playing Roblox. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve these issues:

    1. Check for Sticky Keys: The Sticky Keys feature can cause unexpected behavior with keyboard inputs. Make sure it is disabled. You can do this by going to Settings > Ease of Access > Keyboard and turning off Sticky Keys.
    2. Disable Accessibility Shortcut Keys: If you are using any accessibility features, they might be interfering with your gameplay. Ensure that any shortcut keys for accessibility features are disabled.
    3. Use a Different Keyboard: If you have access to an external keyboard, try using it to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is hardware-related.
    4. Check for Software Interference: Sometimes, third-party applications can interfere with game performance. Try running Roblox in Safe Mode to see if the issue continues. If it works fine in Safe Mode, a third-party app may be causing the problem.
    5. Update Drivers: Ensure that your keyboard drivers are up to date. You can check for updates through the Device Manager in Windows.
    6. Clear Debris: If your keyboard has debris under the keys, it can cause keys to stick or malfunction. Use compressed air to clean under the keys.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Roblox support for further assistance.
