    Hi @Private Individual,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

I'm sorry for the issues you are encountering regarding PIN requirements and system interference. This behavior typically stems from organizational security policies or specific system telemetry settings.

To be clear the situation and pinpoint the cause, I need you to clarify the following:

    1. Could you confirm if the computer is currently linked to a professional or educational account under Access work or school?
    2. Does the system display a specific error message regarding complexity requirements when you attempt to set your PIN?
    3. Are the unwanted suggestions appearing primarily within the taskbar search, the Edge browser, or both?
    4. Are you receiving specific website notifications in the corner of your screen or seeing trending cards in the search panel?

If the device is linked to an organization, security policies can enforce PIN complexity and rotation. This is often the case if a work email was added to an app like Outlook or Teams. I recommend checking Settings, then Accounts, and selecting Access work or school. If an account is listed, selecting Disconnect will remove those external security requirements from your personal hardware.

To stop the search-related noise on a personal PC, go to Settings, select Privacy and security, and then Search permissions. Under the More settings section, toggle Show Search highlights to Off.

Regarding the transition to Windows 10, if the upgrade occurred within the last 10 days, you could choose the rollback option in the Recovery settings. If that window has passed, a clean installation using a bootable USB drive is necessary. Please note that Windows 10 reached its end of support in October 2025

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

I'm looking forward to your reply.
