Hello Team,

I am not able to login my email [Moderator note: personal info removed] grixio.com in outlook. It's continuously showing authenticator app issue & I lost my phone so not able to confirm the number. Please let me know or suggest how I can login outlook from any other method or disable MFA code for now?

Regards

If you are in a organization environment, contact business support. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/customer-service-phone-numbers-c0389ade-5640-e588-8b0e-28de8afeb3f2 . You need the Data Protection Team.

    Hello @Grixio Support,

Thank you for reaching out to the Q&A forum!

I hope you understand that as a forum moderator, I don't have access to backend systems and cannot view or modify your account directly. However, based on my experience handling similar cases, I can guide you in the right direction.

To help you in the correct way, could you please confirm the following points:

    1. Are you the IT admin of your Microsoft 365 tenant, or just an end‑user (agent)?
    2. And if you are an IT admin, are you the only admin?

Note: If you are the only Global Admin, please reply back and I will guide you on how to reach the Microsoft Data Protection team to recover access to your tenant.

If you are a regular user, or if your organization has another IT admin who can access the Microsoft Entra Admin Center. So, you need to contact your Helpdesk or IT team and request them to:

Revoke or reset your MFA settings in the Microsoft Entra Admin Center (remove the current authentication methods).

For step-by-step details, refer to the official Microsoft documentation: Manage authentication methods for Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication - Microsoft Entra ID |…

Once your IT administrator resets your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) settings, the next time you sign in to your organization’s resources, you will be prompted to set up new security verification methods.

If you’re unsure who the Global Admin is within your company, you can find guidance on locating them here: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support

Although I am a forum moderator and do not have access to your backend systems to help you directly, I have provided a detailed guide above that you can share with your IT department.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

To resolve your issue with logging into your Outlook account due to the authenticator app, you can try the following steps:

    1. Use Alternative Sign-In Methods: If you have set up alternative sign-in methods (like a backup email or phone number), try using those to access your account.
    2. Contact Your Administrator: If this is a work or school account, reach out to your IT administrator. They can reset your multi-factor authentication (MFA) settings for you. They may follow these steps:
      • Go to the Microsoft Entra Admin Center.
      • Navigate to Users > All Users.
      • Select your user account.
      • Go to Authentication Methods and click "Require re-register multifactor authentication".
    3. Account Recovery: If you are unable to access alternative sign-in methods, you may need to go through the account recovery process. You can do this by visiting the Microsoft account recovery page and following the prompts.
    4. Contact Microsoft Support: If you are still having issues, consider contacting Microsoft Support for further assistance. They can help you with account recovery and may have additional tools to verify your identity.

Remember that you will need to provide as much information as possible during recovery to help verify your identity.
