Power Pages randomly resetting custom HTML to default content after sync or page open

Dear all,

We are experiencing an issue in Power Pages where custom HTML on certain pages is unexpectedly being reset to default content.

In several cases, the page body (custom HTML markup) is replaced by what appears to be the original default structure. Our custom code disappears and only a minimal default layout remains.

This seems to happen:

After a sync operation

Or sometimes simply after opening the page inside Power Pages (Design Studio)

No intentional edits were made to the HTML

No manual overwrite was performed

The custom HTML was added directly to the page content (not via external Web Files). After the reset, the page contains only a few basic default lines instead of our full markup.

There are no clear error messages in the console.

Questions:

Is this expected behavior when using Design Studio or sync operations?

Can Power Pages regenerate page content automatically under certain conditions?

What is the recommended way to prevent page content from being overwritten?

  1. Is this a known issue?
