I am unable to send a message to a single, specific colleague through teams, from my laptop specifically.
It works fine on my phone app. It works fine on my desktop.
It does NOT work on my laptop. It marks the message as sent but never ticks the receive button. Reinstallation did not fix the issue.
Even more remarkable, I am able to forward this person messages from other chats.

please advice on how to fix.

    Dear @Vandepoel, Florian

Good day! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum!

Based on your description, I understand that you’re experiencing an issue in Microsoft Teams where you’re unable to send messages to one specific colleague when using the Teams app on your laptop, even though messaging works correctly to that same colleague from your phone app and desktop, and despite messages appearing as “sent” on the laptop, they are never marked as received, with reinstallation not resolving the problem and forwarding messages to this colleague still working as expected.

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by this issue.

To understand the situation better and provide you with the most suitable support, could you confirm the following information:

    • You mentioned that the issue didn't happen to your desktop but it did on your laptop. May I ask what version of Teams are you using for the one on the desktop and the one on the laptop? Are they the same version? You could check it via Teams Settings (Ctrl + ,) > About Teams > Version
    • User's image
    • Are you connected to a VPN, corporate proxy, or secured network when this happens?
    • Which device are you using Teams on? (Windows, Mac)
    • Does the same issue happen when you send a message to that specific colleague using Teams for the web on your laptop?

Your confirmation would be very helpful in ensuring you receive the most suitable support!

In the meantime, kindly try the following suggestion to check what might have caused the issue:

    • Repair Teams app (for Windows)
      • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Microsoft Teams
      • Choose Repair
      • User's image
    • Clear Teams cache: Please refer to this article for step-by-step instructions and let me know if the issue persists afterwards: Clear the Teams client cache

If you’re able to share a bit more about your situation, I might be able to suggest some helpful next steps.

Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Kindly let me know when there are updates or if you need further assistance. Any updates you’re able to share would be really helpful.

Thank you for your time and patience.
