How do I fix Microsoft Store as it refuses to open and work properly?

The problem goes that every time I try to open Microsoft Store I am greeted with this. When I click refresh this page it does nothing but close it and try to open it again only to fail again. I've tried several methods to address this issue.

  • Firstly, I've tried 'wsrestore.exe' to no avail.
  • I've also tried to fix corrupt system files through scannow and DISM.
  • I've tried checking for inactive services. There was a mention of checking for BITS but it doesn't show up as a service or as an optional feature.
  • I've tried an in-place upgrade but that didn't fix it.
  • I've even reset my PC and that did nothing but waste hours of my time.

Nothing would work, pathetic windows , i have this same problem for two days, contacted ms customer care, a guy over there created a new profile ms store worked fine, but when I signed up my ms account the problem has started again. Let me tell you that guy had tried everything and I also did, wasted 10+hours, Microsoft is busy with copilot that's why they are not working in core apps, every update will fix something and create new nuances , they think everyone is unemployed and want to waste our time

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

Did you try to attach an image? Because it didn't come through.

After selecting the image, you need to click "Insert image" to complete attaching the image to your post.

The In-place Upgrade and resetting the PC should have fixed the issue with the Microsoft Store. Are you sure these procedures finished successfully?

Sometimes a problem occurs in the middle of the process, and the changes are reverted, and it may happen that no error is displayed on the screen, making it seem like it finished successfully.

    Also, please clarify the following:

Do you have a third-party antivirus installed? If yes, which one?

Do you have any VPN software installed? (Even if it's not running at the moment) If yes, which one?

    I await your reply.

Since you’ve already tried SFC, DISM, a reset, and an in-place upgrade, the issue is most likely a Microsoft Store registration problem rather than general system corruption. If BITS is missing or the Store still fails, your Windows 11 25H2 build may be corrupted, and a clean install of the latest stable Windows version may be the only reliable fix.
