Will the options to format a picture in the new Outlook, such as add border, change text wrapping, etc be added in the future?

This is a significant and impactful (negatively) gap in the new version of Outlook. It appears now you can only crop and resize inline images. Please tell me these features will be added in the future.

    Hello @Kevin L Wood,

Thank you for posting your question on the Microsoft Q&A forum, also sharing your concerns about image formatting in the new Outlook.

I completely understand how important features like adding borders or adjusting text wrapping can be, especially if they were part of your regular workflow in classic Outlook.

At this time, the new Outlook only supports basic image actions such as resizing and cropping. Options like adding borders, applying picture styles, or changing text wrapping are currently not available. There is no public roadmap confirming if or when these features will be added.

Microsoft continues to improve the product based on customer feedback, so I strongly encourage you to submit your feedback directly to the product team here: Outlook · Community

If advanced formatting is critical, a temporary workaround would be formatting the image in Word and then copying it into your email.

Thank you again for raising this. Feedback like yours truly helps drive future improvements.
