We have Communications SharePoint site, containing pages and newsposts that we will periodically update the information on. However we've noticed lately that the analytics for each page goes back to zero. I am an owner of the site but do not have Admin rights.

    Hi @Georgina Robertson,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for contacting us. Please find the information below:

Based on my current test environment, each time a page is republished, the page analytics do not automatically reset to 0.

At the moment, there is no setting in SharePoint that allows page analytics to automatically reset whenever a page is republished.

Typically, page analytics are only reset according to the predefined time ranges such as 7, 30, or 90 days.

In this case, I recommend that you contact Microsoft Technical Support for further investigation to determine whether there is a policy applied to the current page or if there is any configuration on the device causing this issue.

Since you mentioned that you do not have admin rights, please contact your IT department to help create a support ticket to Microsoft by following these steps:

    Step 1: Go to: https://admin.microsoft.com

Step 2: Click Help & Support

Step 3: Enter the following title: SharePoint page analytics automatically resets to 0 after each republish

    Step 4: Click Contact Support

Step 5: Select your preferred contact method.

I hope this information is helpful.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.

I look forward to continuing the conversation.
