I tried downloading a bunch of images from my OneDrive and once finished, the zipped file contained a txt file with this text:
Correlation Id: 02637c7a-6212-4967-be34-f4b329c23ed7

UTC DateTime: 02/12/2026 15:08:41

The following files/folders have not been downloaded: list of about 2k images
Why has this happened? Can I do anything simpler than looking for the specific images one by one and trying to download them again?

HI, I'm Rodrigo and I will help you.
I recommend you download the files in smaller batches, this will avoid issues like this.
If you have OneDrive on the desktop, that is a better option to download and manage many files like your case.

The issue you are experiencing with the eDiscovery export not downloading certain files could be due to several reasons. One common cause is that the files may have been renamed, moved, or deleted after the search was completed but before the system updated the SharePoint Online index. This can lead to errors indicating that the files do not exist anymore, even though they were included in the initial search results.

To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:

    1. Check the OneDrive or SharePoint Online location to see if the files were renamed or moved. This will help you determine if the files are still available.
    2. Reindex the SharePoint Online or OneDrive for Business location. This can be done by following the procedures for manually requesting crawling and reindexing of a site, library, or list. This may help update the index and resolve the issue with missing files.
    3. If you want the search results to include any renamed or moved files, consider rerunning the eDiscovery search after reindexing.

Unfortunately, there is no simpler method than checking the specific images or rerunning the search to ensure you have all the files you need.
