how do I stop Edge from controling volume on I heart radio

I am using my laptop speakers to control sound and volume but when I play music on I heart radio it seems that Edge has taken over control of the volume. How do I prevent EDGE from Hijacking my hardwares control of the Volume?

Microsoft Edge does not have the ability to control the volume of your audio.

The volume of your audio is controlled by the audio device's own driver, unless you have an app like a music player that has a separate audio control.

1 - Check Edge volume separately

Open Settings > System > Sound.
Select Volume mixer.
Adjust the volume for Microsoft Edge only.

2 - Disable hardware media key handling in Edge

In Edge, go to edge://flags
Search for Media Hardware Key Handling
Set it to Disabled
Restart Edge

3 - If you listen to iHeartRadio often, using the Windows app instead of the browser can provide more consistent volume behavior, since it runs as its own audio app.

I am only using Edge and I heart radio. I do not plan on using google, fireffox or other browsers.

I do not experience the issue with news videos on other pages or any youtube video.

Just seems to be an Edge I heart radio thing.

I will try to disable the Media hardware key to see if that works and report back.
