New calendar settings in Teams are terrible

I've given so much feedback about this feature for the past year and nothing has been done about it. The new calendar settings in teams are terrible. It changes time zones every time I switch to that tab- every single day. If I look at other people's calendars in outlook for meetings and then remove them, Teams still keeps those settings in my own calendar, cluttering all my own calendar events. If you're going to force us to use this new calendar settings, at least fix these issues which have been apparent for a year. Clearly it's delayed in rendering time zones and other's calendars and these features should never have been pushed out to prod and left here for over a year.

    Hi @Kat,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for providing such detailed feedback. I can understand how challenging it is when calendar behavior feels inconsistent, especially when it affects core elements like time zones and calendar visibility that you rely on every day. When these settings don’t behave as expected, it can make planning and managing meetings more difficult than it should be.

I do want to clarify, though, that we’re forum moderators here and don’t have the ability to make direct changes to the product or influence release decisions. Our role is to help clarify current behavior, share available workarounds where possible, and ensure that feedback is guided to the right channels.

In the meantime, some users choose to manage more complex calendar views, such as multiple calendars or time zones, primarily in Outlook, while using Teams mainly for meetings and collaboration. This doesn’t replace a product improvement, but it can sometimes help reduce visual clutter as the Teams calendar continues to evolve.

Thank you again for sharing your perspective and for your patience. Your feedback is appreciated, and I hope you’ll continue to use the forum to raise concerns and exchange insights with the community.

    Wishing you all the best.
