How do I disable efficiency mode in chrome?

I have gone into the shortcut and used the " --disable....." prompt, but it now longer works. I have gone into setting and selected "ask me before using efficiency mode" and it still comes on in chrome. I have gone into the task manager, looked at each process, unchecked the efficiency mode selection and it just comes right back on. How can I make my computer useable, without the severe lag of restarting the process every time, when jumping between multiple tabs?

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out and were you able to double-check Chrome’s built-in settings.

You can try these to check it:

    • Open Chrome and go to chrome://settings/system.
    • Look for “Save resources with Efficiency mode” (or similar wording in your version).
    • Make sure both toggles are off.
    1. "Automatically enable on battery"
    2. "Automatically enable when inactive"

Let me know how it goes and if you need further assistance just leave a comment below.
