    Hi James,

Thank you for reaching out. and I’m really sorry you’re dealing with this.

Could you kindly tell me exactly what happens when you try to open the updated Outlook? Does nothing open at all? Does it open for a short time and then close? Does it get stuck on a loading screen? Or do you notice any error messages or notifications on your screen?

    Hope to hear from you.

If Outlook is not opening from the Start menu or using the switch button in Outlook classic, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:

    1. Repair Outlook: Use the repair option available in the Control Panel to fix any issues with the installation.
    2. Clean Install: If repairing does not work, consider uninstalling Outlook and then reinstalling it from your subscription.
    3. Delete Temporary Folders: Close all Microsoft applications and delete the following folders:
      • C:\Users\(User Name)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Olk
      • C:\Users\(User Name)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneAuth After deleting, restart your computer. These folders will be recreated automatically when you reopen the apps.
    4. Check for Updates: Ensure that you are running the latest version of Outlook. Sometimes, updates can resolve issues.
    5. Check Security Settings: If the toggle in classic Outlook is visible but unresponsive, it might be due to security settings. Refer to the documentation on resolving installation issues for more details.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance.
