Welcome Milt Jackson to the Q&A forum.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with missing power options in Windows 11 Pro even after running a 25H2 repair. You can try fixing this issue using the registry method below:

Disclaimer: Modifying the registry or workgroups is usually geared towards advanced users, administrators, and IT professionals, and it can help fix some problems, however, improper registry modifications can cause serious problems. Therefore, please make sure to follow the steps below strictly. For further protection, make a backup of the registry before modifying it. For more information on how to backup and restore the registry, please refer to: How to back up and restore the registry in Windows - Microsoft Support

    1. Open Registry Editor.

    2. Fix power options

Click View and make sure “Address Bar” is turned on.

Paste this into the Address Bar at the top and hit Enter: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Right‑click and delete the 4 entries indicated below (if available)

    NoChangeStartMenu (REG_DWORD)

    NoClose (REG_DWORD)

    NoDriveTypeAutoRun (REG_DWORD)

    NoLogoff (REG_DWORD)

    3. Sign out and Restart

Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and choose Sign out.

Alt F4 or Alt + Fn +F4 on the main desktop (no app window focused) > Choose to Restart.

After the computer restarts, check the Power button again.

Hope this helps. Please let me know how it goes!

    Hi,

Thank you for reaching out, and I’m really sorry you’re dealing with this.

When you mention that there are "no power options," could you please share a bit more about what you’re seeing on your screen? For example:

Are the Shut down, Restart, or Sleep options missing from the Start menu?

Is the Power & sleep settings page empty?

    • Or is the power button visible but greyed out and not clickable?

Thank you for your time, and I really appreciate your patience. I look forward to hearing from you.

To retrieve the power options in Windows 11 Pro, you can follow these steps:

    1. Open Control Panel: Search for "Control Panel" in the Start menu and open it.
    2. Navigate to Power Options: Click on Hardware and Sound, then select Power Options.
    3. Check Available Power Plans: In the Power Options window, you should see the available power plans listed. If you do not see any options, you may need to create a new power plan.
    4. Create a New Power Plan: Click on Create a power plan and follow the on-screen instructions to set up a new plan based on an existing one or from scratch.

If you still do not see any power options after these steps, it may be necessary to troubleshoot further, such as checking for system updates or ensuring that your device drivers are up to date.
