How to disable the Microsoft Fabric migration banner in Azure Synapse Analytics?

Hello,

Our team keeps seeing the "Check migration readiness" banner in Azure Synapse Analytics pushing us to run an assessment for Microsoft Fabric.

There is no way to close or dismiss this banner from the UI. We are not migrating to Fabric. Please provide instructions on how we can disable this notification across our Synapse workspaces, or kindly push a UI fix to allow users to dismiss it. Thank you.

Thank you for raising this. At the moment, the “Check migration readiness” banner in Azure Synapse Analytics is not dismissible and cannot be disabled. This banner is part of Microsoft’s Fabric migration guidance and is currently enabled by design for all Synapse workspaces.

There is no setting in Synapse Studio, no ARM/CLI/PowerShell option, and no policy that can hide or remove the banner. Even workspaces that are not planning to migrate will still see it.

The only supported options today are:

1. Ignore the banner (Synapse will continue working normally).
2. Submit product feedback, which goes directly to the engineering team: https://feedback.azure.com

I understand this is not ideal, and your feedback is valid. The request for a dismiss/disable option has been shared by many customers, but there is currently no published timeline for when this capability may be added.

The current ui is cluttered with so many tiles, now this banner is occupying space on the page with option of not closing it. This is frustrating. Can you please provide the feedback link here.

The “Check migration readiness” banner in Synapse Analytics that promotes assessment for Fabric is currently a product level UI notification and not a tenant or workspace-configurable setting. There is no supported way to disable, dismiss, or suppress this banner across Synapse workspaces through azure Portal, PowerShell, ARM, or policy controls. It is a built-in promotional experience managed by Microsoft.

If you do not plan to migrate, the only practical options are to ignore the banner or raise a support ticket via azure Support to formally provide feedback. If this is impacting user experience at scale, the right channel is to log a product feedback request or support case so the Synapse product team can consider adding a dismiss option in future updates.
