I am trying to recover my account in order to log into my Xbox account via my PC. I don't remember my password, and the phone number linked to the account is no longer a number I use. I've done password reset forms and even used my debit card info. I have no clue how else to recover my account.

    Dear Isaac Bryant

Please note that this is a user-to-user community. As moderators, we have limited access to internal development details. Our role is to direct users to the appropriate support channels and resources. While we cannot provide backend analysis, we will do our best to assist within our responsibilities.

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand how frustrating it is when you can’t sign in because both your password and your security information (such as your old phone number) are no longer accessible.

Since this is a personal Microsoft account, only you can recover it through the self‑service process. Microsoft Support cannot bypass or remove security information for privacy and security reasons. Please try using the Account Recovery Form again: https://account.live.com/acsr

Here are a few tips to improve your chances:

    • Use a device and location where you’ve successfully signed in before.
    • Provide as many details as possible (previous passwords, services you used, folder names, contacts you’ve emailed, etc.).
    • Make sure the alternate email you enter can receive messages.

After you submit the form, Microsoft will send a decision email within 24 hours. Be sure to check all folders (Inbox, Junk, Spam, Other).

If the recovery form is denied, you can try again after 24 hours with more complete or accurate information and contact Microsoft Support directly:

    • Visit Contact - Microsoft Support
    • Type a brief description of your issue in the search box
    • Scroll down to the bottom > select Sign in to contact support
    • Log in to your personal Microsoft account.
    • Under Products & Services, select "Other Products"; Under Categories, select a suitable Category.
    • Click "Chat with a support agent in your web browser" (during business hours)

Unfortunately, if the form cannot verify your identity, there is no manual override and no support agent can reset the account for you.

    Thank you for your understanding.
