excel not working

i am not able to open excel sheets since the past 5 mins, its showing to repair

Have you tried restarting the computer?

• Close all Office apps.
• Press Windows + R, type appwiz.cpl, press Enter.
• Locate Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Office in the list.
• Select it, click Change.
• Choose Online Repair.
• Click Repair.
• Confirm and wait for the process to complete (internet required).
• Restart the computer after repair finishes.

If Excel is prompting you to repair, it indicates that there may be a problem with the application. Here are the steps you can take to perform an Online Repair:

1. Close all Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
2. Open Settings on Windows.
3. Go to Apps > Installed apps.
4. Find Microsoft 365 (or Office) in the list.
5. Click the three dots next to it and select Modify.
6. Choose Online Repair and confirm.
7. The repair process may take 15–30 minutes. Do not cancel it, even if it seems slow.
8. Restart your PC once the repair finishes.
9. After restarting, open Excel first and check if it opens normally.

If the issue persists after the repair, further troubleshooting may be necessary.
