My laptop wont connect to my Cricut Maker 4 via Bluetooth or USB now. I had never tried USB before, I assume it used to work, but it does not now.

I had been able to connect to my Cricut Maker 4 via bluetooth now I can't. I am able to connect to the Cricut Maker 4 via my Android phone Samsung S20 without any issues. (Never tried it till today, becoase I wanted to check if it was Cricut Maker 4 problem)

On my laptop now in Bluetooth device when I add it will connect for a second or two and then diconnect and not connect again. I have tried uninstalling the Bluetooth via Device Manager and restarting the laptop. It did not help Also tried 30 second hard reset of laptop, it did not help.

Version: Windows 11, 2026-02 Security Update (KB5077181) (26200.7840) (12 Feb 2026), 2026-01 .NET Framework Preview Update (KB5074828) (13 Feb 2026). I found the following behaviour

  1. USB causes Device Manager to refresh
  2. No new device appears
  3. No errors appear in Event Viewer
  4. Bluetooth sees the Cricut but cannot maintain connection
  5. It fails in a brand-new Windows profile
  6. BIOS is updated
  7. Other Bluetooth devices work (speaker/mouse/keyboard connect)
  8. Cricut works on my phone
  9. USB triggers Device Manager refresh but never enumerates a device

For some weird reason the USB connection between the Maker and laptop does not work either. The cable is new, it came with the maker.

I need this working...it is my business!

Finally got it to work!!! I did Repair Install Using Windows 11 ISO. I don't think it solved the problem as it still did not work. However, I am not sure if it did not play a part in the fix either.

What I did finally was connect my Cricut Maker 4 to the computer via USB cable. and then open command prompt.

Once in the Command Prompt window, type:

    cd %HOMEPATH%\AppData\Local\Programs__"__Cricut Design Space"\resources\plugins\device-common\

    Then press Enter.

    Then type:

    .\CricutDevice --fixbluetooth

    Both USB and Bluetooth worked!
