Hello,

I recently cancelled my Microsoft 365 subscription after discovering I was being charged $16 monthly without my knowledge. I thought I was on the free plan and rarely used the service.

I’m a 17-year-old student and did not intend to continue the subscription. I kindly request a refund for the charges, as I did not actively use the service and cancelled immediately upon noticing them.

Thank you.

    Hi dilz,

Good day. I'm Jhun an independent advisor. Sorry to hear about your Microsoft 365 charge without your consent. You'll need to contact Microsoft Support directly so they can review your case and process a refund request.

Before going to request for a refund, first check your subscription status if it is really cancelled.

    1. Go to: https://account.microsoft.com/services
    2. Sign in with the Microsoft account you used.
    3. Confirm if: -The subscription is cancelled. -The exact plan name. -The billing dates and amounts charged.
    4. Take a screenshot if possible, it helps during support chat.

    Request a refund process

    1. Go to the official Microsoft support page, https://support.microsoft.com/contactus
    2. Choose:

    Billing.

    Microsoft 365.

    Then select Chat with support.

    1. Explain your case clearly and detailed as possible.

Microsoft usually review refunds case by case. If the charge was recent or within 30 days, the chances of refund are higher.

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Jhun

If you have been charged for your Microsoft 365 subscription without your knowledge and have already canceled it, you may be eligible for a refund. Since you mentioned that you canceled immediately upon noticing the charges, it's important to contact Microsoft Billing Support to discuss your situation and request a refund. They can help you check your account and address your concerns regarding the charges.

To contact Microsoft Billing Support, you can visit their support page and follow the prompts to connect with a live agent. Make sure to sign in with the Microsoft account associated with your subscription when you do this.

Keep in mind that if you were on a subscription plan, the charges would continue unless you turned off recurring billing or canceled the subscription. Since you canceled, reaching out to support is the best course of action to resolve this issue.
