Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    Please clarify the following:

    • Are you trying to play audio via internal speakers, external speakers, or headphones?
    • If it is an external speaker or headphones, does it have a standard audio connector (Jack connector) or USB connector, or is it connected via Bluetooth?
    • Is there an X in the speaker icon next to the clock?

Also, share a screenshot of your system information.

    • Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

    I await your reply.

If you are unable to adjust the volume on your laptop, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check Audio Drivers: Ensure that your audio drivers are installed and functioning correctly. You can do this by opening the Device Manager, navigating to Sound, video and game controllers, and checking for any issues with your audio device.
    2. Update Audio Drivers: Right-click your audio device in Device Manager and select "Update driver" to search automatically for updates. Alternatively, you can download the latest drivers from your laptop manufacturer's support site.
    3. Set Correct Playback Device: Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar, select "Open Sound settings", and make sure the correct output device (your laptop speakers) is selected.
    4. Run Windows Troubleshooter: Go to Settings > System > Sound and click on "Troubleshoot" under the Output section to run the audio troubleshooter.
    5. Check for Windows Updates: Sometimes, audio issues can be resolved with cumulative updates. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.
    6. BIOS/Firmware Check: Ensure your BIOS is up to date, as audio initialization can sometimes depend on firmware updates.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, it may be a hardware problem, and you should consider contacting your laptop's support for further assistance.
