I accidentally deleted my Hotmail account about 4 months ago. I had an Office 2021 purchase/install linked to that account. I have since created an outlook.com email address. Can the reg. key be transferred to this outlook account?

If the Hotmail account has been permanently closed, you can't reopen it.

If there is a chance that it is still in the grace period (either 30 or 60 days), you should be able to reopen the account. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/reopen-your-microsoft-account-52d7f36e-4c2f-489a-8584-de5fc7918362 .

Unfortunately, you cannot transfer an Office 2021 registration key from one Microsoft account to another. Once the Office product is linked to a specific Microsoft account, it cannot be moved or reassigned to a different account, including your new outlook.com email address. If you need access to Office, you may have to purchase a new license under your current account.
