Hello Mike Van Straten,
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum!
I understand that you you don’t see “Turn on recurring billing” or “Renew” for your Military Appreciation Edition. I truly understand how you feel. Let me assist you go through this situation.
According to officially documents only two renewal paths for Microsoft 365 Family subscriptions: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/turn-recurring-billing-on-or-off-for-a-microsoft-subscription-66f40aee-2317-f74b-40f9-2be7e92f0167
- Turn on recurring billing (not available for prepaid / discounted SKUs)
- Enter a new product key (download code)
For Military Appreciation Edition, only option #2 applies.
I suggest you try these steps to renewal for Military Appreciation Edition:
- Purchase a new Microsoft 365 Family – Military Appreciation Edition code
- Go to https://microsoft365.com/setup
- Sign in with the same Microsoft account
- Enter the 25‑character product key
- Your expiration date will extend (unused time is preserved)
Please note that:
- Redeeming a new key extends the subscription
- You can stack time (up to 5 years total)
I hope this will help with your situation. Please feel free to reach back if you have further update or more questions.
Best Regards,
