Hi! Let me help you.
What type of connection do you use for your headphones to your laptop?
USB or the 3.5mm audio analog port?

I have a pair of headphones I've been using with no issues for 3 years, yesterday these stopped working on the right side, I thought this was an issue with the headphones themselves so I switched to a new pair, recently bought with no previous issues, used them for about 4 hours and now they're having the same issue of not working on the right speaker whilst being louder on the left, switching to a different device does not fix them, does anyone know what's going on and how to maybe fix it?

It sounds like you might be experiencing a jack detection issue or a problem with the audio settings on your laptop. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
mmsys.cpl in the command prompt. Check if both the left and right audio channels are enabled and functioning. Right-click in the Sound Control Panel and select "Show Disabled Devices" to ensure all devices are visible. If none of these steps resolve the issue, it might be worth consulting with a technician to check for any underlying hardware problems with your laptop's audio system.
