Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Please try restoring your system to an earlier point in time using System Restore.

    1. Click Windows + R key, type rstrui.exe, and click Ok.
    2. Select Next.
    3. Select the date/time you would like to restore your computer.

If that still doesn't work, go to your PC or Motherboard manufacturer's website.

    1. Enter your device serial or model number.
    2. Go to the Drivers & Downloads section.
    3. Download the High Definition Audio drivers and install them.
    4. Once installed, restart your computer and check the audio output.

If you are having difficulty in finding the correct drivers for your device,

Type msinfo in the search bar on the taskbar and click enter.

Post a screenshot of the resulting dialog box.

To fix the audio driver issue in Windows 10 after mistakenly uninstalling the default audio driver, you can follow these steps:

    1. Open Device Manager:
      • Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
    2. Locate Audio Drivers:
      • In Device Manager, expand the Sound, video and game controllers section.
    3. Reinstall the Driver:
      • Right-click on the audio device (it may show as High Definition Audio Device or similar) and select Uninstall device. Make sure not to check the option to delete the driver software for this device.
      • After uninstalling, restart your computer. Windows should automatically attempt to reinstall the default audio driver upon reboot.
    4. Check for Updates:
      • If the audio driver does not reinstall automatically, you can manually check for updates. Go to Device Manager, right-click on the audio device, and select Update driver. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
    5. Install Device-Specific Driver (if necessary):
      • If you have a specific driver for your Realtek audio device, download it from the manufacturer's website and install it. Make sure to install it before connecting the USB speaker to avoid issues with the default driver being replaced.
    6. Connect USB Speaker:
      • After ensuring the correct driver is installed, connect your USB speaker and check if it is recognized and functioning properly.

If you continue to experience issues, consider checking the Windows Update for any additional updates that may resolve the problem.
