On the new PC, just install Office from https://account.microsoft.com/services.

Subscription versions can always be run on multiple devices.

    Hi,

Thank you for sharing your question.

I understand how important it is to set up your new laptop properly so it is included under your Microsoft 365 subscription and ready to use for your work and personal files.

It helps to know that Microsoft 365 subscriptions are tied to your Microsoft account rather than to specific devices. This means you do not manually “add” a laptop to your subscription. Instead, once you sign in to the new device using the same Microsoft account you used to purchase Microsoft 365, the subscription activates automatically. After signing in, you can install Office apps, set up OneDrive and enable your subscription features without needing any additional steps or licenses.

The most common way to do this is to sign in on the new laptop with your Microsoft account during the initial Windows setup or afterward by opening any Office app and choosing to sign in. Once you are signed in, Microsoft verifies your subscription and activates your apps on that device.

May I ask whether you have already set up Windows on your new laptop, or are you still at the stage of unboxing and preparing to sign in?

Please feel free to follow up if you would like help with installation steps, account verification, or confirming that your subscription is properly recognized on the new device. I’m here to support you every step of the way.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Noel

To include a new laptop in your Microsoft 365 subscription, you need to install Microsoft 365 on the new device. Here are the steps you can follow:

    1. Sign in to your Microsoft account: Go to the Microsoft 365 sign-in page and log in with the account associated with your subscription.
    2. Download Microsoft 365: Once signed in, look for the option to install Microsoft 365. You should see a button or link that says "Install" or "Download".
    3. Follow the installation prompts: After downloading, open the installation file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation on your new laptop.
    4. Activate Microsoft 365: After installation, open any Microsoft 365 app (like Word or Excel) and sign in with your Microsoft account to activate your subscription on the new device.

You can install Microsoft 365 on up to five PCs or Macs, so adding a new laptop should be straightforward if you haven't reached that limit.
