Restore pop-up reminders for flagged emails in New Outlook

I rely heavily on flagging emails with reminders to manage my follow‑ups. In classic Outlook, when I flagged an email and set a reminder, I received a clear desktop pop‑up at the chosen time. In New Outlook, flagged email reminders only appear in the Notifications pane / To Do integration and no longer show a dedicated pop‑up alert, which makes it much easier to miss important follow‑ups.

Please add an option in New Outlook to:

Show a desktop pop‑up (banner or reminder window) when a flagged email is due, similar to classic Outlook.

Allow quick setting of reminder date/time directly from the message list or via a shortcut (like Ctrl+Shift+G in classic Outlook).

Let users choose whether these reminders appear as floating pop‑ups, Windows notifications, or only in the Notifications pane.

This feature was a key part of my workflow and its absence significantly reduces productivity and increases the risk of missing important follow‑ups. Several users have requested similar functionality in Microsoft Q&A and other communities, so restoring or re‑adding this capability would address a common pain point.

Instead of creating, what will probably be another duplicate Feedback Request, as suggested.

If this existing Feedback Request matches what you want, then you can Vote for and Comment on it instead.

    Hi @Pavan Patel

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concern and a detailed feedback on the New Outlook flagged emails popup feature. I can totally understand the importance of flagged emails reminder popups in your daily basis.

In new Outlook for Windows, flagged email reminders do not surface as a dedicated desktop pop up in the same way as classic Outlook. Because this is a product capability gap rather than a setting you can simply enable, I recommend submitting feedback directly to Microsoft via the Feedback Portal to help prioritize this feature in future updates.

Currently, the New Outlook does not support desktop pop-up reminders for flagged emails in the same way that classic Outlook does. In classic Outlook, users received clear desktop alerts for reminders, but in the New Outlook, these reminders are integrated into the Notifications pane and To Do list, which may not be as noticeable.

At this time, there is no option to enable pop-up alerts or to set reminders directly from the message list as you could in classic Outlook. Users have expressed similar concerns about the lack of this functionality, indicating that it affects productivity and the ability to manage follow-ups effectively.

For now, you may want to provide feedback directly to Microsoft through their feedback channels, as user requests can influence future updates and features in Outlook.
