Retrieve a document in my lenovo desktop which it has got lost

A document which i had typed using microsoft word and while making changes i have pressed save and i think it had erased everything how can I retrieve the previous documents without the changes I made today please i was using my lenovo laptop it's important document help.me retrieve it i have the date of when I created the file in my laptop

If the file was saved on OneDrive, you can use its Version History feature to check to an earlier edition of your file.
