    Hii.

What is the model of your headphones?

Are you connecting the sound to the back of the motherboard?

Do you have a Realtek or High Definition Audio driver? To check, access Device Manager, go to the Sound, video and game controllers tab, take a screenshot and post it here.

    Thanks

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with your microphone when it's connected directly to the motherboard. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check Connections: Ensure that the microphone is securely connected to the correct port on the motherboard. Sometimes, the ports can be misidentified.
    2. Audio Settings: Go to the sound settings in Windows. Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar, select "Sounds," and then navigate to the "Recording" tab. Ensure that your microphone is set as the default device and check the levels to make sure they are not too low.
    3. Driver Updates: Make sure that your audio drivers are up to date. You can do this through Device Manager by expanding the "Sound, video and game controllers" section, right-clicking on your audio device, and selecting "Update driver."
    4. Test Different Ports: If your motherboard has multiple audio jacks, try connecting the microphone to a different port to see if that resolves the issue.
    5. Run Troubleshooter: Use the built-in audio troubleshooter in Windows. Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters and run the "Playing Audio" troubleshooter. This can help identify and fix common audio issues.
    6. Check for Hardware Issues: If possible, test the microphone on another device to rule out hardware issues with the microphone itself.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, it may be a hardware problem with the motherboard's audio input.
