To address the frequent freezing issues on your Asus TUF GAMING laptop, you can follow these troubleshooting steps:

    1. Identify the Problem: Determine when the freezing occurs. For example, does it happen during specific tasks like using Chrome or when charging? This can help narrow down potential causes.
    2. Check for Software Issues: Ensure that your operating system and all drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers, especially graphics drivers, can lead to performance issues.
    3. Collect Data: You can generate a memory dump file when the laptop freezes. To do this, hold down the right Ctrl key and press the Scroll Lock key twice. The dump file will be located at %SystemRoot%\MEMORY.DMP. This file can be analyzed to identify the cause of the freeze.
    4. Use Performance Monitor: Utilize Windows Performance Monitor to analyze how programs affect your laptop's performance. You can create logs for further analysis.
    5. Check Event Logs: Review the System and Application logs for any errors that might indicate what is causing the freezes. Look for relevant Event IDs in the logs that could provide insights into the issue.
    6. Test Hardware: If the problem persists, consider testing your hardware components, such as RAM and hard drive, for any faults. Sometimes, hardware issues can lead to system instability.
    7. Consider Power Settings: Since the freezing occurs when plugging in the charger, check your power settings. Ensure that your laptop is configured to handle power changes appropriately.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to consult with a professional technician for further diagnosis.
