When I'm in fullscreen on YouTube or on a game and if my mouse goes to the bottom of the screen then the taskbar appears. This has caused me to click out of the game back my home screen. How can I make the taskbar stop appearing when my mouse goes to the bottom of the screen?

Methods I've attempted

  1. Restarting "Windows Explorer" in the task manager.
  2. DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image/ Restorehealth
  3. Automatically hide the task bar in the settings

    Hii,

Well apparently this is a bug, many users are having the problem, you can fix it using third party software, currently there is no confirmation that the taskbar will remain in the background.

To prevent the taskbar from appearing when you are in fullscreen mode, you can try the following methods:

    1. Auto-hide the Taskbar: You mentioned that you have already attempted this, but ensure that the setting is correctly enabled. Right-click on the taskbar, select Taskbar settings, and toggle on Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode and Automatically hide the taskbar in tablet mode if applicable.
    2. Check Taskbar Settings: Make sure that the taskbar is not set to always be on top of other windows. In the taskbar settings, ensure that the option Keep the taskbar on top of other windows is turned off.
    3. Adjust Display Settings: Sometimes, adjusting the display settings can help. Right-click on the desktop, select Display settings, and ensure your display is set to the recommended resolution and scaling.
    4. Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date, as outdated drivers can cause issues with fullscreen applications.
    5. Use Fullscreen Mode: When watching videos on YouTube, make sure to click the fullscreen button instead of maximizing the window. This can sometimes help in preventing the taskbar from appearing.

If these methods do not resolve the issue, you may want to consider checking for any Windows updates or performing a system scan to ensure there are no underlying issues affecting the taskbar behavior.
