Hi, thank you for your reply. Since your Stereo Mix does not have a “Listen” feature, this is a limitation of your audio device. The best option is to use third-party software. However, I can’t recommend any specific one because some may contain malware, so please make sure to use trusted software only.

Hi Al Neely, just to confirm, was it working fine before? If yes, I recommend rolling back the audio driver by following the steps below:

    Method 1. Run Audio troubleshooter:

Press the Windows Key + R, then type in:

    msdt.exe /id AudioPlaybackDiagnostic

Then hit OK and follow the prompt to run the Audio troubleshooter.

Method 2. Roll back the audio driver:

-Press the Windows key + X

    -Go to Device Manager

-Expand the Sound, video and game controller

-Look for Realtek (R) Audio or High Definition audio

    -Right-click and click Update Driver

-Select Browse my computer for drivers

-Click Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer

-Choose an old driver or another driver name, then select it and hit next until it installs.

    -Restart the PC and check.

Note: If the issue persists, please download and install an audio driver from your manufacturer's website.

Hi, I'm Bernard, a fellow Windows user. I'm happy to help!

To change the audio output, kindly follow the steps below:

    On the Taskbar:

Click the Audio icon on the lower right corner > Click "Select a sound output" icon on the left side of the volume slider > Select the output device, which is the internal speakers

Or go to Settings > System > Sound

Under Output, select the internal speakers

On Set as default sound device > Select Use as default for audio

on windows… it normally won’t do dual‑output, but the usual workaround goes like this. enable stereo mix in the recording tab, keep your main speakers as defalt, then open stereo mix → props → listen, and point it at the second device. kinda fiddly, yeah… but it’s the one that actually works.
